UOB undertook an extensive IT transformation from 2008 to 2013, investing S$600 million to build a regional technology platform and a global data centre. The regional platform, delivered through our regional technology hub in Singapore, optimised synergies and enabled the rapid replication of best practices across our networks.
By standardising our core systems, we harmonised operating processes region-wide, achieving a scalable regional operating model that enhanced risk management and provided a seamless, consistent customer experience across all markets.
This transformation facilitated seamless integration across our regional franchise, equipping the Bank with the infrastructure necessary to streamline operations and expand our presence more efficiently and effectively in an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving financial landscape.
