In 2019, we launched the Better U learning and development programme, accredited by Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF), equipping employees with essential digital-era skills. Participants receive a UOB-IBF Certificate of Achievement. In 2020, the programme expanded to include specialised tracks in data analytics and project management, ensuring workforce relevance in a dynamic financial industry.

In October 2024, we introduced Better U Pivot programme, a 12-month initiative developed with Institutes of Higher Learning and industry partners. It supports employees transitioning into growth roles in risk and compliance, sales, and customer experience. Participants benefit from customised learning paths, coaching and mentorship, facilitating smooth career transitions.
