Step 2 : Apply for or renew your migrant domestic helper's Work Permit Online
Step 3 : Receive new Work Permit Card
- MOM will deliver the new Work Permit Card to the registered address 4 working days after the migrant domestic helper registers and gets her documents verified.
- Return the existing Work Permit Card by mailing it to:
• Work Pass Division, Ministry of Manpower, 18 Havelock Road, Singapore 059764.

General
- Does InsureHelper Plus meet the requirements of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for migrant domestic helpers?
Yes, InsureHelper Plus provides coverage in line with MOM’s requirements including the enhanced medical insurance requirements which will take effect from 1 July 2023. The requirements include:
• Personal accident coverage of up to S$60,000,
• Coverage of up to S$60,000 per year on hospital and surgical expenses such as inpatient care and day surgery; and
• Security bond of S$5,000*.
*Security bond is not required for Malaysian migrant domestic helpers under MOM's requirements.

Instead of a S$5,000 deposit cash with MOM, you can choose to purchase a Letter of Guarantee (which is part of the InsureHelper Plus coverage) in the event you or your migrant domestic helper breach the conditions governing of the employment, we will pay to MOM on your behalf first and then recover the amount from you thereafter. - Do you offer waiver of counter indemnity for Letter of Guarantee?
You can opt to purchase the cover for waiver of counter indemnity (Letter of Guarantee Protector) to reduce your liability at an Excess amount of $200/- only. - When should I purchase migrant domestic helper insurance?
The earliest policy start date upon your purchase of InsureHelper Plus is 5 days from the date of purchase as we need to process and transmit your maid’s insurance details to MOM. - What date should I use as the start date for the insurance plan?
When you should purchase your maid insurance depends on the type of maid you are hiring. The three types are:
New maid - The policy start date will be your maid's date of arrival in Singapore.
Renewal maid - The policy start date is one day after your maid’s current work permit expires.
Transfer maid - The policy start date is the date of transfer that the maid starts work with the new employer. - Why is the Period of Insurance shown on the Schedule 26 months when the work permit issued to my migrant domestic helper is only for 24 months?
The additional 2 months is a requirement from MOM. There is no additional premium charged for the additional 2 months coverage. - Does the Personal Accident Insurance cover my migrant domestic helper when she is on home leave?
The Personal Accident Insurance coverage will cease from the time your migrant domestic helper leaves Singapore for her home leave. The coverage will resume upon her return to Singapore provided her work permit is still valid during the period of insurance. - When can I do the renewal of my migrant domestic helper’s work permit via MOM’s website after I submit my InsureHelper Plus application?
We will transmit your data to MOM on the same business day if we receive your application before noon. Applications received after noon or on non-business days will be processed on the next business day.
Upon receiving the transmission result from us, which will be within 3 days from our data transmission to MOM, you may log in to MOM’s website with your SingPass to renew your migrant domestic helper’s work permit.
Refunds
- How much premium refund can I receive if I cancel InsureHelper Plus before the expiry date?
We will only cancel your policy upon the receipt of the discharge notice given by MOM during the Period of Insurance. The premium refund is based on the following scale, provided there is no claim made under this Policy.
There will be no refund of insurance premium if there is a claim made under the policy.
