For UOB Mastercard/American Express/ATM contactless cards:
Fares for your train and bus rides will be accumulated for up to 5 days or to the point you make payment of at least S$15.00 worth of train and bus ride fares, whichever earlier.  The accumulated amount will be posted to your UOB statement after 3 days from the above.

For Visa Cards:
Fares for your train and bus rides will be accumulated on a daily basis and posted to your UOB statement the following day.

For Mastercard / American Express UOB Card cardmembers, a pre-authorisation fee will be initiated and earmarked in your UOB bank account linked to your Mastercard / American Express UOB Card after a posting of payment is made to this Mastercard / American Express UOB Card used at the point of boarding. With effect from 1 October 2025, the amount of this pre-authorisation fee for Mastercard UOB Cards will be increased from S$0.10 to S$3.00.

The Earmarked Amount will be released when the payment of the fare for the train / bus ride associated with the Earmarked Amount is posted to your UOB statement or 14 days after that train / bus ride was taken whichever is earlier.

You will not be able to use your card for transit if there is insufficient balance in your UOB account linked to your card used for your train / bus rides, to cover the pre-authorisation fee.  You can choose to top up funds into that UOB account
