The UOB Global Markets Economic Forum 2023 was held on 11 January 2023 at Pan Pacific Singapore. It provided a platform for businesses to learn more about this year's macroeconomic outlook for the region and to hear how leading players in the investment, real estate and energy industries have turned risk into resilience. The event highlight was a spirited fireside chat with Mr George Yeo, visiting scholar at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore and former Singapore Cabinet Minister, on opportunities and risks for ASEAN and China in the coming decade.
Opening the forum was Mr Frederick Chin, Head of Group Wholesale Banking and Global Markets, UOB, who shared that despite trade conflicts, major economies remain highly interconnected, thriving on trade and collaboration.
